For our very first student spotlight of the year, we have Kate Secoy, a senior Comm student, graduating this December!

Kate is a PR major with a minor in Psychology and English. Originally from Rolling Fork, MS, she has loved creating amazing connections with her professors and fellow students.

She is the director of Big River Strategies, MC’s student run PR agency, and the president of the Public Relations Association of Mississippi (PRAM) at MC!

Her dream jobs are either to be a communications specialist in book publishing or creative director at a PR agency.

We love Kate and wish her the best of luck after graduation! ⭐️🎓💙

Please join us in wishing a very happy 101st birthday to Mrs. Mary Catherine Gentry! Mrs. Gentry is one of our beloved retired Communication professors and a former Mississippi Christian University Distinguished Professor of the Year. Among her many visitors yesterday were Reid Vance and Vicki Williams from MC and James Ray, her deacon from Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton where Mrs. Gentry remains a faithful member and where her late husband Charles served as longtime pastor. We're thankful for Mrs. Gentry's life and legacy, and we wish her many more years to come!
