💛 Please join us on Monday, September 23, at 12:30 PM at Walter Johnson Park for our annual 2.3 for CT23 Walk in honor of former Red Raven Baseball player, Conner Taylor ( #23), as part of Su***de Prevention Month and Mental Health Awareness. The distance and date represent his jersey number.

Conner was a bright and caring young man, both on and off the baseball field, loved by his family, friends, and everyone who knew him.

Conner's parents, Mike and Marcy Taylor, and his brother Ryan, established the Change4Conner Foundation in his memory. The foundation funds baseball scholarships and supports local schools and organizations focused on Mental Health Education, including Su***de Prevention.

We’d love for everyone to join us at the ballpark, walk with us, and wear your Raven gear! After the walk, we’ll take a group photo by Conner’s sign at the field. If you can’t make it, feel free to walk on your own and share your experience using or .

RAVENS BASEBALL TEAM PARTICIPATES IN "2.3 FOR CT23"
September is National Su***de Prevention month and this Saturday,
September 25th at 11:00am, the Red Ravens Baseball team will participate in a 2.3 mile walk. This event is called 2.3 for CT23, the walk was created by a former player's family and some alumni of the CCC Baseball Team. This walk is to help raise awareness to mental illness.

Conner Taylor was a member of the 2015 Red Raven Baseball team who tragically took his own life at a young age. Conner was a bright and caring young man on and off the baseball field. Connor excelled in the classroom and was loved by his family, friends, and all others that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Conner's parents, Mike and Marcy, along with his brother, Ryan, created the Conner Taylor Change4Conner Foundation to honor his life by making a difference in the lives of others. On an annual basis, the Change4Conner Foundation funds multiple baseball scholarships named in his honor.

Additionally, the Foundation supports local school districts and partners with groups that promote Mental Health Education including Su***de Prevention and Su***de Awareness.

"I think this would be a great event for our students and staff to come together for Conner and raise awareness to this topic that is tough for our young students to talk about and also talk about what they are going through right now, especially in these times," said Head Baseball Coach Jake Martin.

There will be a big picture taken at the end of the walk to post on the 2.3 for CT23 Foundation Social Media pages.

HUGE win today for game 1 of our best of 3 series. Our guys took the game 6-1.

Sophomore Gavin Heltemes simply dominated for 7 innings allowing no runs. An amazing start for our staff.

Freshman Austin Bonnel made an outstanding, game changing play. Bases loaded no outs. Bonnel fielded ball on a back hand, touched third and threw the runner out at home.

Freshman Jorge Ortiz drilled a laser home run to right field giving us the much needed momentum.

Sophomore Garon Johnson closed the door allowing 1 run in 2 innings.
