As our world is increasingly dominated by AI, how is Saint Michael's teaching future teachers to grapple with the emerging tech?

Students are using it — there's no getting around that — so Education Professor Claudine Bedell recently told WCAX-TV that it's important to approach AI critically in the classroom. Find out why she says a liberal arts education from St. Mike's is the perfect foundation for this approach.

What can a 170-year-old tree tell us about the future of a forest? 🌳

This summer, Biology major Lydia Altman ’27 is finding out.

Through a grant-funded research project, Lydia is exploring tree diversity and forest growth in the Saint Michael’s Natural Area while also documenting where invasive species like Buckthorn spread.

She’s not just studying biology. She’s doing the work of a researcher, making discoveries and gaining experience that will prepare her for her career.
