Do you know a middle or high school student seeking to learn more about college? The Elegant Eta Beta Chapter at the University of Maryland will be hosting their annual college readiness workshops and tour next Saturday, 4/12. Open to middle and high school students!

⏰ Time: 11:00AM until 3:00PM
📍 Location: University of Maryland, College Park (we’ll be providing specific location details to attendees)

We're excited to bring you Living Locked In on Friday! This will be our big closing event for our Charter Week. We will be featuring some of the various demonstrators and vendors on our page throughout the week, so be on the lookout. All Black woman-owned or -led, too! As we continue to promote mental health and create space for healing, we'll be introduced to the practice of yoga with Life Member Dr. Tamisha Ponder, founder of Sankofa Yoga ( )!

In this week's segment of In Pursuit of Greater, we send our congratulations to Sorors Laura Blake, Nadia Laniyan, and Jasmine Crooks for being honored in the Terrapin Club's () 30 Under 30 Class of 2024. Previously, Soror Faith Deredge received the honor in 2022.

The Terrapin Club recognizes those individuals who have "made a major impact in their communities and careers, while supporting the university and embodying Maryland Pride." Keep up the work Sorors!

For our first installment of our new series, In Pursuit of Greater, we commend Sorors May and Owie on completing the Fall 2023 semester with Academic Honors, with both women having earned GPAs of at least 3.6. Great job ladies!

Happy Black History Month from the Eta Beta Chapter! Carter G. Woodson, the founder of what we now know as , believed establishing a theme would help direct public attention and highlight noteworthy and timely developments that should be emphasized.

This year's theme is African Americans and the Arts! Spend the month watching notable Black movies, visit a museum curated by/for Black artists, or get lost in the literary world with writers like Sigma's own, Beverly Jenkins and April Sinclair.
