The Maryland Figure Skating Club began at UMD in 2004 and became a club sport in 2007. We welcome skaters of all levels! The club is comprised of two teams: a freestyle team and synchronized skating team. At UMD, we would like to emphasize that school comes first, followed by skating. We would like for the experience to be fun and the rink as a place to get your mind off academic stress. The experience is more important than the results.

Do you want to be a part of the MDFSC Synchronized Skating Team? Come to Tryouts and Skills Session this Friday, September 11 from 7:30-10:15 pm at Wheaton Ice Arena! Skaters from all levels are encouraged to try out, as no prior synchro experience is needed!

We will send out a carpool signup sheet in our GroupMe and Instagram Story, and carpools. All skaters (including returning skaters) must be registered on IMLeagues and must have the Concussion Quiz completed. We hope to see you there ‼️😋⛸️
