Established at the University of Maryland in 1940, our sisters are committed to sisterhood, values and ethics, high academic standards and social responsibility. Our open motto, “We live for each other,” truly describes the sisterhood here at ADPi. With Fall COB Bid Day approaching, hear from junior Tressa on her experience doing COB:

“I joined ADPi through COB my sophomore year in Fall '24. I wanted to join a sorority to find an encouraging community on campus, and ADPi has certainly given me that. As soon as I sat down at the first COB event I attended, the girls' sincere friendships, care for another, and senses of humor were obvious to me. Since joining, I've become extremely close with my ADPi family: my big Kiera, twin Manha, littles Gianna and Evelyn, and niece Ava. We might not be related by blood, but we are sisters. I spend every day with these girls and they constantly push me to be my best personally, academically, and otherwise. While living in the house last semester, this community only grew stronger. I always had people to spend time with, whether it was doing homework in the chapter room with Sam, painting a banner in the craft room with Miranda, eating dinner downstairs with Lauren, or watching Netflix in the TV room with Erin. I've never felt more supported, and I know this community will last long past graduation.”

Already reminiscing summer break with senior Ashley Swei ☀️

Below, Ashley looks back on her travels!

“This summer, I traveled to Puerto Rico, where I wandered the colorful streets of Old San Juan, explored historic forts, and made a charm bracelet as a keepsake. I spent sunny days at beaches like Escambrón, snorkeling with tropical fish and even a sea turtle. At night, I marveled at skies full of stars and experienced the glow of a bioluminescent bay in Fajardo. This trip was truly unforgettable, filled with memories I’ll always look back on! 🌺🍹🐠”
