Terps Mentoring Terps Mentoring fosters one-on-one mentoring relationships between high schoolers and University of Maryland students to encourage college-readiness.

Terps Mentoring is a one-on-one mentoring program that pairs high school students with University of Maryland students in order to foster mentoring relationships. The goal of Terps Mentoring is to encourage the participating high school students’ academic pursuit for secondary education. For the 2014 - 2015 school year, Terps Mentoring launched its first official program, partnering with Eleanor R

oosevelt High School located in Greenbelt, MD to work with a group of ninth graders. Terps Mentoring arranges two on-campus mentoring sessions per month, which include tutoring, professional and personal development workshops, mentor-mentee activities, field trips, and community service.
