Texas A&M University Horse Judging page serves to connect all to current team news and team events, such as the Run For the Roses Banquet and horse judging summer camps. Stay tuned and invite your friends to experience Texas A&M Horse Judging. The horse judging team teaches students to evaluate horses and horse performances, and to compete in intercollegiate competitions with teams from other coll
eges and universities. Since the first Texas A&M University team began competition in 1972, no other school has won more national championships than Texas A&M, boasting 29. Students on the Horse Judging Team gain much needed and useful experience in analytical and critical thinking, judgment, written and oral communication, and many of them continue to become professional judges for several breed associations. The horse judging team is designed for students interested in equine selection and performance evaluation. Fall competitions include the following: APHA World Show in Fort Worth, TX, the AQHA Congress in Columbus, OH; the AQHA World Show in Oklahoma City, OK, and the National Reining Horse Association Contest in Oklahoma City, OK.
