While traveling in Israel, our group stopped to pay respects to Col Ilan Ramon, the first and only Israeli astronaut. Col Ramon was the payload specialist aboard Space Shuttle Columbia, where he and six other crew members were killed during re-entry. Col Ramon is the only foreign recipient of the US Congressional Space Medal of Honor.

Pictured below are cadet members of Squadron 17 at the memorial to Col Ramon. We are honored to include this stop on our excursion.

Howdy from Warsaw! One of the students has the following to say about her experience:
“My group was walking in Warsaw this afternoon and came across the monument to the Warsaw Uprising during WWII. We did not know what the monument was so we asked a group of people standing nearby who had been speaking English. It turns out that their father was a Pole who fought in the Warsaw uprising against the N***s and that this place was special to him. They actually lived in TX! I just wanted to share with you. Just one of many stories and happenings from this trip and I appreciate all the hard work and planning that was put into it! It has been amazing to learn so much about my polish heritage. What a privelage to have these experiences! “.
