Advancing bilingual educator development across contexts.
The Center for Research and Development in Dual Language and Literacy Acquisition (CRDLLA) at Texas A&M University was proud to collaborate with Grigol Robakidze University (GRUNI) in supporting the Bilingual “Thinking Outside the Leadership Box” program, alongside TESOL and Paths to Publication initiatives that continue to strengthen educator and researcher development.
Since 2022, the partnership between Texas A&M University and GRUNI has created meaningful opportunities for educators, researchers, and students across Georgia. Participants shared that these experiences strengthened their professional competencies and expanded their capacity to implement innovative practices within their schools, institutions, and communities.
We extend our appreciation to Anna Abesadze for opening the event and to Professor Mamuka Tavkhelidze, Nika Beselia, and Harvey Cernowitz of the U.S. Embassy in Georgia for their remarks emphasizing the importance of international collaboration in advancing educational innovation and supporting emerging scholars.
We also recognize the dedication of Texas A&M collaborators and ELRC representatives - Drs. Beverly Irby, Rafael Lara-Alecio, Jim Lynch, Uyok Hanson, Mahreen Ghayas, and Mohamed Seyed - whose leadership continues to strengthen global educational partnerships.
Congratulations to all graduates and thank you to our partners at GRUNI for helping make this work possible.
