AIChE Texas A&M University

AIChE Texas A&M University Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University We are very proud of our college's curriculum and our professors. We also take great pride in our chapter.

The Texas A&M University Student Chapter of AIChE is dedicated to providing its members with experiences beyond the usual classroom education. As a professional society, we arrange opportunities for students to build a network of contacts in academia and in industry and to see the application of a Chemical Engineering degree in industry through plant trips. As a student organization, we help deve

lop leadership skills and give students the chance to improve their teamwork skills. The 2010-2011 chapter was successful in continuing the excellent programs started in the past. The great generosity of our sponsors has allowed us to fulfill many of our goals. Our chapter looks forward to the opportunity to improve on past accomplishments. With great people as officers along with superb industry cooperation, the 2013-2014 school year looks to be a great one.

Looks like BP just announced its technical topic for the regional conference! Take a look:

Seminar Title: Offshore Oil and Gas Processing

Abstract: As more and more oil and gas fields are discovered in deeper water, the oil and gas industry actively drives technological advances to safely produce this oil and gas. However, the fundamental processing equipment that makes up the bulk of offshore processing facilities often remains unchanged. This presentation intends to take a big picture look at the fundamental upstream oil and gas process, the equipment used, and the chemical engineering principles that are applied to make it a success.
