TAMU Ecological Integration Symposium (EIS)

TAMU Ecological Integration Symposium (EIS) Welcome to the official page of the Texas A&M University Ecological Integration Symposium, a student-run group promoting interdisciplinary work in ecology!

Hosted by Texas A&M University, this graduate student-organized event hosts some of the biggest names in ecological thought, promotes student work, and expands the ways we think about ecology and all related fields of inquiry. The Symposium series was originally developed by graduate students in the Department of Wildlife & Fisheries Sciences. Today, the Symposium is an interdisciplinary event cond

ucted in conjunction with Student Research Week each spring, run by a volunteer committee composed of students across the Texas A&M campus. Since the first symposium in 2000, the EIS has been a resounding success, hosting prominent scientists from diverse areas of ecology and routinely attracting over 500 attendees each year to this free event!

A kind reminder to register for EIS 2026! We will have exciting plenary talks from Dr. Paul Garber, Dr. Jason Rohr, Dr. Carla Staver, Dr. A. Marm Kilpatrick, Dr. Craig Allen, and Dr. James Ehleringer. Like our speakers, we hope that this year's theme "Beyond Disciplinary Boundaries" encourages student attendees from different ecological disciplines to join us for EIS.
For 26 years EIS has provided students with an excellent opportunity to present their research and network with key names in ecology! As always EIS is free and we will prizes for best presentations.
