campus emergencies?

Code Maroon is Texas A&M’s emergency alert system that ensures your student is aware of potential emergencies on campus. Alerts can be received in several ways: Through the mobile app, text message subscriptions, and the RSS feed. 📱

Encourage your student to be connected to at least one of these channels so they never miss important safety updates–staying informed is staying safe here in Aggieland!

Family Weekend is almost here! Make the most of your trip to Aggieland with this quick checklist ✅

🗓️ Plan early
• Book your hotel/AirBnB/VRBO ASAP, spaces fill up fast!
• Make restaurant reservations ahead of time or plan meals at home to avoid long waits.

🤝 Involve your student
• Check Family Weekend dates together and compare schedules; events can overlap!
• Some student organization events can pop-up last-minute, so being in town is easier when you prep months in advance.

👪 Expect crowds
• Family Weekend brings thousands to Aggieland.
• Pack your patience and enjoy connecting with the Aggie Family!

🌦️ Prep for Texas weather
• April can mean rain, heat, cold… or all three.
• Bring layers and an umbrella, you’ll thank us later!

🚗 Parking tips
• Parking is extra busy, arrive early and plan ahead.
• Review Texas A&M Transportation’s Family Weekend and April Ring Day info before you head to campus.
