---
What’s up, y’all! I am an extremely ambitious and disciplined individual who eagerly walked into college with a dream of getting an engineering degree, and along the way was told I’d never be accepted into the department. Despite almost being kicked out of university, I persisted. Fast forward a couple years, I am a Texas A&M alumni with an engineering degree who works at Lockheed Martin. From this, I have become someone who is passionate about helping others recognize that they can achieve anything they set their mind to. I have failed, and I have learned. I am Tien Duong, and I will continue to fail and learn.
I align myself with all three: imagine, innovate, and inspire. As a wise man named Jim Rohn once said, “The way we live our lives is a result of the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves.” The future we IMAGINE for ourselves is what INSPIRES us to INNOVATE.
I am the 2018-2019 SASE Role Model because I live and breathe what we believe in here at SASE. To me, a leader is someone who puts other before themselves and inspires everyone to work towards a common vision. In this regard, I consider myself a leader, not just because of my past involvement in SASE, but because my goal in life is to give back by positively impact lives of others through helping them shift their mindset.
