The Texas A&M School of Public Health is committed to transforming health through interdisciplinary inquiry, innovative solutions, and development of leaders through the Aggie tradition of service to engage diverse communities worldwide. At the school, our professors care about impacting the community with their research as well as their students. Professors have research projects ranging from eme
rgency preparedness to community health development. Students use faculty as advisors, and each student participates in a practicum during their stay. Students have conducted epidemiologic studies, assisted in programs/centers of faculty, and many others have served as interns in Texas and abroad. The school offers five graduate degrees, one undergraduate degree and a certificate program. Students earn a master of public health degree concentrated in one of six areas: epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy and management, health promotion and community health sciences, environmental health, and occupational safety and health. SPH also offers master of health administration, doctor of philosophy in health services research, and doctor of public health degrees. Students in the Dr.P.H. program will choose a concentration in epidemiology (with an emphasis in environmental health) or a concentration in health promotion and community health sciences.
