Ursinus College

Ursinus College Preparing nimble, creative, and forward-thinking leaders ready to shape the future. Proud to be one of 45 "Colleges That Change Lives" 🐻

At Ursinus, we start with "U" and end with "us," because there's no more powerful word than "us." It turns a single person into a team, a passion into a club, an idea into a movement. It's an approach that leads our students to become more than they ever thought they could. We think beyond majors to amplify your success, with dual-degree programs and special opportunities in entrepreneurship, biom

edical research, social justice, creative writing and more. Thinking beyond your major gives you several points of entry into the career you want. We ask our students, "Why meet your expectations when you can exceed them?"

Located in the cleverly named town of Collegeville--which is just as quaint as it sounds--our corner of the world is known for friendliness, safety and the beauty you would expect in a quintessential college town. Our 170 gorgeous acres are designed like an academic village, with three interdisciplinary neighborhoods, an Innovation and Discovery Center for research, plus premier arts and athletics facilities. We're also one of the nation's "Top Green" colleges, with an organic farm and wooded trail system. But mostly, we are a community and a home.

Women's flag football is coming to Ursinus College! 🏈

The college has launched a search for the program's inaugural head coach, with plans to welcome the first class of student-athletes in fall 2027. The team will compete in scrimmages before moving into full competitive action for the 2028–2029 season.

In January 2026, the NCAA added flag football to its Emerging Sports for Women program, with official championship status expected by 2028. Nearly 400 colleges currently field programs—and Ursinus's launch comes just ahead of the sport's debut at the 2028 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Ursinus College has launched the APEX Fellows program, a new pilot initiative giving recent graduates hands-on, early career professional experience right here on campus. Fellows are placed in a campus department where they build real skills in areas like event management, fundraising, communications, and business development — while also getting exposure to the broader world of higher education work.

Madison Smith '26 is the college's first Annual Giving and Student Engagement Fellow, building on her experience as a student engagement officer during her time at Ursinus. Two more roles — Alumni Engagement Fellow and Corporate Relations Fellow (Athletics Partnerships) — are open now, and recent graduates from any institution are welcome to apply.

The initiative extends Ursinus's APEX: Applied. Professional. Experiential. framework beyond graduation by providing recent college graduates with entry...

Ursinus is proud to announce the launch of the college's first graduate program!

Starting in May 2027, the department of health sciences will offer a Master's in Exercise and Sport Science. The 15-month, 30-credit online program is designed to prepare students for advanced professional practice and research in exercise physiology, sport science, and health-related fields.

"This is an important moment in the history of Ursinus College and a natural next step in our evolution as an applied liberal arts institution," said President Gundolf Graml, Ph.D. "Our first graduate program builds on the strength of our health sciences programs and, importantly, extends the applied, professional, and experiential approach at the heart of an Ursinus education to graduate study. We are creating new opportunities for our own graduates while also welcoming students from across the country who are looking for a graduate education that connects rigorous academic preparation with meaningful professional practice."

Ursinus College has signed a new transfer agreement with Camden County College, creating a direct and affordable path to a four-year degree.

Eligible CCC students who meet the requirements will receive guaranteed admission with junior status, as long as they're transferring into a parallel major. Merit scholarships based on GPA are also part of the deal, and Camden County College transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa and meet the GPA requirements will receive $43,000 a year.

"By establishing a direct and supportive transfer pathway to Ursinus College, we are helping students continue their academic journeys with confidence," said Ursinus President Gundolf Graml, Ph.D.

This is the fourth transfer articulation agreement Ursinus has signed with a community college in the greater Philadelphia region.

The partnership expands opportunities for Camden County College students by offering a direct route to Ursinus College, including guaranteed admission for...

The Parlee Center for Science and the Common Good at Ursinus College has launched "Nontechnically Speaking," a student-run podcast and Substack focused on science communication for general audiences. The initiative gives students hands-on experience writing for non-technical readers, interviewing, and producing digital content — skills that translate directly into careers in business, journalism, policy, media, and law, not just the sciences.

The program is led by Aubrey Paris, Ph.D. '15, director of the Parlee Center, who returned to Ursinus this summer after a decade working at the intersection of science, innovation, and policy at the U.S. Department of State. Students will receive training in science communication theory before producing periodic audio and written content, published across the podcast, Substack, and the Parlee Center's Instagram.

Subscribe on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Substack!

The new initiative gives students an opportunity to develop real-world communication skills, while building a digital portfolio.
