Today we celebrate the Founders Day of IOTA PHI LAMBDA SORORITY, INC., founded in Chicago, Illinois in 1929 by the visionary Lola Mercedes Parker — the first Greek-lettered business sorority established by African American women.

For generations, women of Iota have continued to lead with purpose, professionalism, and impact in our communities and beyond.

We are incredibly proud of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. Zeta Rho Chapter’s very own Soror Sonja J Holt-Cartwright for delivering an impactful presentation during the 89th Eastern Regional Conference.

Her workshop, “Mindful Living: Restoring Capacity in a Season of Change,” poured into attendees with wisdom, empowerment, and purpose — reflecting the heart of self-eadership and the strength of our sisterhood.

We proudly highlight our very own Soror Whitney L. Brooks , a Lupus Warrior and Advocate whose strength, resilience, and voice continue to inspire others and raise awareness about this invisible illness.

💜 FACT: Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that can cause inflammation, pain, fatigue, and damage to healthy tissues and organs.

Today, we stand in awareness, advocacy, and support.
