Good morning all,
Happy Friday-eve! I wanted to take a moment to share about local events taking place in observance of Overdose Awareness Day (8/31).
Many of you have been experienced the loss of a loved one due to overdose. A dear friend of my family lost his life after an overdose of Fentanyl on June 30, 2021; he was only 30 years old. Overdose Awareness Day is an opportunity to remember those we've lost, and support persons who struggle with substance use concerns, and their families and loved ones. Please consider participating in an Overdose Awareness Day event or supporting a realted cause, and accessing Narcan training.
For more information about training in the administration of Narcan, and how to access this critical tool in reversing overdose, check out Naloxone For All: https://www.naloxoneforall.org/
