Alex is College of Business senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. As a military spouse and full-time mom, Alex had the opportunity to travel the world before deciding to settle down in Colorado Springs. Alex decided to come to the College of Business because of the AACSB accreditation and beautiful campus setting. She decided to pursue marketing because of the field’s versatility and career growth potential. As a mom, she advises that time management is the key to balancing school and family life. Alex states that what inspires her the most about being a College of Business student are the professors who have taken time to guide her towards being a successful business leader.

Zach is a Senior in the PGA Golf Management Program who also serves as president of PGA Golf Management Student Society and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. Originally from Springfield, Illinois, Zach decided to come to the College of Business because of the opportunity UCCS offered to pursue a career in golf management. UCCS hosts one of only 17 PGA Golf Management programs in the world. Zach started playing golf at 9 years old and continued to through high school. From an early age, Zach knew he wanted to pursue a career in golf management. His dream job would be becoming a Head Golf professional at a high-end private golf club in Colorado or Arizona. He states that what inspires him the most about being a College of Business student is the small classes, support from other PGA students and mentors and support from mentors.

The Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative Collegiate Program (DFEI) at College of Business recently announced a joint effort with schools in the Southern Colorado Ethics Consortium to recognize outstanding organizations in the southern Colorado region.

Eligible recipients of this award are for-profit organizations who conduct themselves to the highest ethical standard and embody the principals of ethical leadership as outlined by the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative.
