Stay in the know! The UCCS Alumni & Friends Association is the central link between the University and your Mountain Lion family!

In support of its mission, the Alumni Advisory Board and the Office of Alumni Relations work together to:

- Create, promote, and preserve traditions of the University
- Communicate the accomplishments of the University to alumni
- Encourage alumni and friends of the University to use their time, talents and energy for the advancement of UCCS
- Promote financial support of the University
- Develop and promote alumni/student relations
- Provide opportunities for alumni to network with each other
- Sustain communication between alumni and the University

When UCCS Alum Alex Koehler ('14, '18) arrived at UCCS, basketball wasn’t part of the plan.

Coming out of high school, he had been recruited to walk on to the UCCS men’s basketball team while also considering opportunities in baseball. But none of those possibilities felt quite right. What did catch his attention was UCCS’ Sport Management program.

He enrolled with a plan to study sports, leaving behind the idea of playing them competitively. That plan lasted about half a semester.
