Professor of Music Ryan Raul Bañagale, a CC graduate and lifelong Beatles fan, continues that experience with new generations of Tigers with his course, "The Beatles Then and Now." In June 2027, he's bringing the experience to CC alumni with a Tiger Travel trip to Liverpool and London.

Applications are open now to join the CC Alumni Association Council (AAC)! Members are the voice of alumni to Colorado College and serve as ambassadors for all alumni. Colorado College Professors Olivia Hatton (Department of Molecular Biology) and Amy Dounay (Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry), along with four CC alumni, Sarah Buchman ‘26, Markus Bergstrom ‘23, Justin Tee ‘22, and Callista Tran ‘24, recently co-authored an article titled “Fluorophenylalanine-Containing Dipeptides with Antibiofilm Activity Against Pseudomonas aeruginosa Discovered Through a Collaborative Undergraduate Research and Educational Program.”

It was published in July of 2026 in the journal Molecules, and the article describes the latest discoveries in a multi-year, multi-institutional collaboration to discover new antibiotics to treat infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria.

Molecules is a leading international, peer-reviewed, open-access chemistry journal published semimonthly online by MDPI (the Swiss Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute).

Homecoming Weekend 2026 is officially here and we can’t wait to welcome you back to campus! If you’re attending this weekend, be sure to check in and pick up your name tag #, which you’ll need to attend events. Check-in and on-site registration is located at Charles L. Tutt Library (1021 N. Cascade Ave.) on Friday from 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

If you want to add additional events that you left off at registration, you can do that at check-in as well.

Mike Taber '86, professor and associate chair for the Department of Education, is one of this year's Gresham Riley Award recipients for his dedication to CC's students, history, and future excellence. The award recognizes faculty and staff who have made a significant difference to the Colorado College community through outstanding service, commitment, and accomplishment.

He will be honored at the Alumni Association Awards Ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 10 as part of Homecoming Weekend 2026. Learn more about the weekend at coloradocollege.edu/other/homecoming/

As the son of a former faculty member and a CC alum himself, Taber has been part of the CC community his whole life. In that time he has built a deep knowledge of CC's history, which he drew from when he co-chaired Colorado College’s Sesquicentennial Committee in 2024, making strides to connect with faculty, staff, alumni, students, and the community to ensure all voices were heard for a meaningful and inclusive commemoration.

Through his service, leadership, and unwavering dedication to the institution, Taber has strengthened the Colorado College community and helped chart a course for its future.

Kate Holbrook, Colorado College Chaplain, is one of this year's Gresham Riley Award recipients for her commitment to supporting students' wholistic well-being. The award recognizes faculty and staff who have made a significant difference to the Colorado College community through outstanding service, commitment, and accomplishment.

Integrating contemplative and compassion-based practices is central to Holbrook's work as she helps students develop their spiritual, ethical, and religious identities. She takes the time to create a supportive space for their diverse needs. Through her support, students engage in spiritual and contemplative practices that help them stay grounded and find a deeper sense of belonging and community.

As part of this work, Holbrook invites the wider Colorado Springs community to participate in campus life through partnerships with local spiritual communities and groups. She delights in being present with students, faculty, staff, retirees, and alumni as together, cultivating inner wisdom and a sense of belonging to and with this amazing community.
