Mu Chi was represented in Denver this weekend at the 2026 Delta Sigma Pi LEAD Summit!

Our brothers joined alumni and our ADD Angelica for a day centered on person-focused leadership and strengthening our chapters.

Sessions covered building trust and working through conflict, understanding why members disengage, approaching peer accountability as an act of care, and translating fraternity leadership experience into skills we can communicate professionally.

Those conversations are especially meaningful for Mu Chi as we continue rebuilding our chapter and creating a strong foundation for the brothers who will lead it next.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn alongside brothers and leaders from across Delta Sigma Pi, reconnect with alumni, and come back to UCCS with new ideas to put into practice.

Here’s to continuing to hold ourselves to a higher standard. 💜💛

Sometimes “professional development” gets reduced to résumés, interviews, networking events, and business clothes. Those things matter.

But so does learning to communicate when something goes wrong. Giving feedback. Receiving feedback. Planning. Following through. Leading peers. Managing your own time. Asking for help. Owning a mistake.

College gives you opportunities to learn all of that.
Student organizations give you somewhere to practice it with real people.
That part belongs on the résumé too.

Somewhere between a 3:45 AM alarm and a parking pass, we made a core memory. 🎈

Earlier this month, members of Sigma Pi’s Mu Chi Chapter started Labor Day weekend very early by volunteering with some of our DSP Alumni at the Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off

We arrived while the streets were still dark, threw on the safety vests, and spent the morning helping with event parking. There were cards. There was cash. There were parking passes. There were also enough donuts to keep a group of college students functioning before sunrise. 🍩

Then the sun came up.

We got to watch the balloons take off, experience one of those events that feels unmistakably Colorado Springs, and spend a morning serving the community our chapter calls home.

And somehow, by 9 AM, we were finished and headed home with several hours of service and an entire adventure already behind us. (Some of us were handling the early hour better than others. 😂)

The best part? We had enough fun that we’re already planning to sign up for next year’s Lift Off, and we’re looking forward to volunteering at the air show in a few weeks.

Professional development is part of ΔΣΠ. So are leadership and networking. But community service is part of our professional story, too.

Colorado roots. Community connection. 💜💛

Your network doesn’t start after graduation. It starts with showing up. 💼✨

Delta Sigma Pi’s Mu Chi Chapter will be at the UCCS College of Business Career Networking Night tonight, and we’d love to meet you.

Come practice the thing everyone tells you to do but rarely gives you a chance to actually do: introduce yourself, start conversations, meet professionals, and begin building relationships before you need them.

And while you’re there, stop by the ΔΣΠ table. Learn how a co-ed professional business fraternity can help you turn college into experience through leadership, service, professional development, and connection.

We’ll have information about Fall 2026 Rush, a few business nerds to talk to, and yes… Smartfood for College of Business students. 🤓🍿

Before anyone calls it a network, it usually looks a lot like this.

It’s people sitting around long enough to actually get to know each other. Someone mentions the class they’re taking, the internship they’re looking for, the job they just started, or the thing they have absolutely no idea how to figure out yet. Months later, one of those people sends them an opportunity, introduces them to someone, answers a question, gives them advice, or remembers their name when it matters.

We talk about networking like it starts at career fairs with name tags and elevator pitches, but most strong networks are built much more quietly. They grow out of conversations, shared experiences, showing up more than once, and becoming someone people genuinely know.

That’s part of what we hope Mu Chi creates. Not a contact list. A community of people whose paths keep crossing, even after college starts taking everyone in different directions.

And yes, sometimes professional networking starts with folding chairs, snacks, and absolutely no business cards in sight. 💜

A lot of college survival knowledge arrives about a semester after it would have been useful. So we’re crowdsourcing it.

Here is Volume One of the Mu Chi Business School Survival Guide:
-Know people.
-Ask earlier.
-Save your work.
-Read the rubric.
-Use office hours while the problem is still normal-sized.
-And remember that everyone around you is also learning something.

More volumes are coming because we've learned some things the hard way; you don't have to. 💜 Join the DSP brotherhood; we have your back!

Congrats again Mu Chi!!!
