Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Memorial Day is a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made so that generations could live, work, dream, and build community in freedom.

From all of us at Lake Carolina Living, thank you to those who served and to the families who carry their legacy forward.

May we remember with gratitude and live in a way that honors their sacrifice.

Come out to the Village Green in Lake Carolina in support of the Children’s Charities of the Midlands! Even if you don’t play, come watch, cheer, grab a bite from Fresh Cut Spuds, and register for prize drawings at some of our sponsor tents. Plus, bring your pets. One of our sponsors, Zoomin’ Groomin’, will be clipping pets nails for $15. Village Green in Harborside on May 16th at 11am. Registration opens at 10am. See flyers below.

Our Spring Issue marks one full year of sharing the heart of this community through stories, photographs, local spotlights, and meaningful moments. What started as a vision to celebrate Lake Carolina has grown into something truly special.

Over the past year, we’ve had the honor of spotlighting local businesses, talented creatives, inspiring neighbors, community events, and the people who make this area feel like home. We’ve laughed, connected, explored, and captured so many beautiful memories along the way.

More than anything, we’re grateful. Grateful for every person who’s read an issue, shared a post, welcomed us into their business, told us their story, or simply cheered us on. Your support has meant the world to us.

And honestly… we’re just getting started! 💙

We’re so excited for what’s ahead and honored to continue shining a light on the beauty, creativity, and connection that make Lake Carolina and Columbia such special places to call home.
