MizzouOT is at the 2026 Occupational Therapy Summit of Scholars! We’re excited to share that MizzouOT is attending the 2026 Occupational Therapy Summit of Scholars, featuring presentations from Bill Janes, Rachel Wolpert, and Bridget Kraus!

This year’s theme, “Engage and Participate,” emphasizes the vital role researchers play in shaping the future of occupational therapy—through collaboration, mentorship, and meaningful, impactful research. From co-designing studies to influencing policy, the summit highlights how our work advances participation and improves outcomes for the communities we serve.

MizzouOT will also have multiple poster presentations by Meghan Doherty, Bridget Kraus, Juliana Earwood, Tim Wolf, Annie Lakin, Natalie Sherbrooke, Bill Janes, Melanie Tkach, and Tim Marks. We’re proud to be part of this dynamic group of scholars committed to innovation, partnership, and advancing OT research.

Stay tuned as we bring insights, connections, and inspiration back to Mizzou!

Huge congratulations to our very own Department Chair, Dr. Tim Wolf, on being named the next Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Occupational Therapy (AJOT)! We are incredibly proud to see Dr. Wolf take on this prestigious leadership role starting July 1, 2026. His dedication to advancing evidence-based research, neurological rehabilitation, and mentoring the next generation of OT professionals makes him the perfect fit to guide the profession's premier scholarly journal. Join us in celebrating this outstanding achievement!

Congratulations to Timothy J. Wolf, OTD, OTR/L, FAOTA, who assumes the role of Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Occupational Therapy (AJOT) on July 1! Wolf is the OT Department Chair at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

We are incredibly grateful to Stacey Reynolds, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA, who completes six years of leading AJOT at the end of June. https://bit.ly/49LtJXh

Dr. Lea Ann Lowery has the best student bonding experiences year after year. She brought back the Giants, Wizards, and Elves game for our new student orientation today. OTA and OT students enjoyed the beautiful weather and had fun together. We can’t wait for classes to start Monday.
