Last week, Mizzou welcomed scholars and graduate students from across the region for the Midwest Social Studies Retreat. The annual retreat brings together universities from across the Midwest to support collaboration, mentorship and professional growth in social studies education. Through presentations, conversations and shared ideas, the event created space for emerging scholars and faculty to learn from one another and strengthen connections across institutions. We were honored to host this year’s retreat and grateful to all who joined us in building community and advancing the field together.
