The Communication & Leadership Program is housed within the Division of Communication, Language & Literature at Columbia College. We offer a BA in Communication & Leadership in both the Women's and Evening College. We also offer a minor in Comm & Leadership in the traditional day college or Women's College. The BA in Communication & Leadership provides students with a foundation in the theoretical

dimensions of human communication and the principles and practices of effective leadership. Students will develop knowledge, skills, and aptitudes to function as engaged citizens in both personal and career-oriented contexts. Students will graduate with a clearer understanding of social challenges and the innovative communication strategies needed to lead positive change in their careers and in their communities. Dr. Alston-Miller is a Full Time Visiting Associate Professor of Communication at Columbia College. She earned her BA in Rhetoric & Communication Studies from the University of Richmond, and continued on to receive her MA and PhD in Communication Arts and Sciences from Penn State University.
