Koala Camp is a wrap! Columbia College's Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program presented Koala Camp, a community outreach program for children with disabilities and their families. Over three weeks, families joined us in College Place to learn early ASL signs, guided by CC faculty, staff, and students.

Through games and activities designed to build real, everyday communication skills, these little ones walked away with signs they'll carry with them as they grow. Six sessions, countless first signs, and a graduation ceremony to close it all out. We love this program so much. See you next year! 🤟

Victory Day is almost here — and this one means something special.

On June 5, 1965, the Alumnae Association made a historic gift that helped rebuild Columbia College after the devastating 1964 campus fire, securing the college's future for generations of students to come. Now, over 60 years later, we're gathering to honor that legacy and invest in today's students.

Four years ago, Jordan Wright moved into Hudson Hall as one of the first residential classes of men to enroll at Columbia College as first-year students. This month, he walked across the stage with a business degree — and a place in our history. 💜

Columbia College has proudly graduated men before, but Jordan and his classmates were among the first to experience the full residential journey from day one after we became an all-gender institution. We're so proud of everything he and our graduates represent for this college's future.

Congratulations to Dr. Mary Jon Barrineau, this year's Faculty Excellence Award recipient, and Dr. Marlee Marsh, recipient of the Student Choice Award — two faculty members who go above and beyond for our students every single day.

Dr. Barrineau brings expertise, compassion, and a deep commitment to mentorship as Director of General Education and a proud CC alumna. Dr. Marsh has been inspiring students in the sciences and leading the Honors Program since 2012, and students voted her as their choice. That says it all.

Today, Columbia College had the honor of celebrating our newest graduates at the Spring Commencement Ceremony, and it was a day to remember. Surrounded by family, friends, faculty, and the community that cheered them on, each graduate crossed the stage, ready to make their mark on the world.

Alumna and commencement speaker Lisa Wheeler '87 reminded our graduates that the best paths in life aren't always planned — they're discovered. President Dr. John H. Dozier expressed what we're all feeling: "You're not only graduating — you're rising."

To every graduate: we have watched you grow, cheered you on, and could not be more proud of who you are and who you're becoming. This is your moment.

Persha Cabarroguís came to Columbia College with a goal and leaves with so much more — a double major in forensic psychology and English, the Savory Award, an Honors degree, and a graduate assistantship at Clemson University waiting for her on the other side.
