Our first Why DZ Wednesday of the semester with new member Angelina Virissimo!

After Preference, I knew exactly where home was, and nothing could change my mind. I remember walking out of DZ on Preference Day and immediately telling my Pi Chis, “It’s going to be DZ,” with the biggest smile on my face. Coming so far from home and not knowing anyone, I went through recruitment hoping to find a community where I could truly be myself and find a home away from home. I am so grateful that DZ has given me exactly that. I’m looking forward to meeting even more people, making memories, and finding my forever sisters. So far, I have loved getting to know girls from all over and making so many new friends within our PC and the PC above us. I’m so excited for everything that’s ahead and to continue growing, laughing, and making memories with my DZ sisters! - Angelina PC '26

with best friends and roommates Ava Conger and Georgia Ethridge! 👒🫐

Ava has been a constant throughout my entire college experience. We met at New Member Ceremony the day after Bid Day, and we just clicked. I am so grateful to have her as my best friend. From being roommates in the house, travel buddies, and all our fun adventures, all of my favorite college memories are with her. She is my rock, and I am so lucky to have someone so special in my life. She is all things good and makes me a better person in all aspects of life. Thank you DZ for bringing me my best friend and other half!

I can’t believe Georgia and I met just three years ago, and now I can’t imagine my life without you. When I look back at all my favorite college memories, you’re right there beside me. One of my favorite memories so far has been our trip to Ireland. I’ll never forget climbing the stairs to the top of Blarney Castle with you. But honestly, it’s impossible for me to pick just one favorite memory because every single one brings me so much joy and happiness. I love our movie nights, game nights, meal prepping, workout classes, needlepointing, and so much more. You truly have changed my college experience, but more than that, you’ve changed me for the better. You know me better than I know myself, and I am a better person because of Georgia Ethridge. I hope we live together forever. Love you, George! I am so incredibly grateful to Delta Zeta for giving me you.
