Wrapping up the semester with some photos from our end-of-year celebration for Mizzou Sociology majors. Special congrats to our graduates and Mauksch Award winners! Mauksch winners Lucy Hunter (left) and Patrice St. Jean (center) are pictured in the first photo with Director of Undergraduate Studies, Dr. Rebecca Scott. Natalie Gorham also received the award but was unable to attend.

During the Show Me Research Symposium at Mizzou, MU Sociology had four of our undergraduate students, Dilara Goshtaiy, Natalie Gorham, Roland Harrison, and Madison Lewis, present their work! Thank you and congratulations to Department of Sociology Social Media Intern Lily Burger! Lily is completing her Bachelor's degree in Journalism with a Strategic Communication emphasis and will continue on to finish her MA next year through the 4+1 program. Her thesis will explore how audiences perceive creative AI in advertising. Over the summer, Lily will work as a Marketing Intern with the Fox Valley Park District in Illinois and travel to Scotland and Ireland with her family. She is especially looking forward to golfing with her dad in the Scottish Highlands!
