Walk Home Cocky is a program that aims to increase safety within the University of South Carolina community. Our volunteers are available to accompany students (our patrons) from the Thomas Cooper Library to any on-campus destination between the hours of 10:30pm-2:00am, Sunday through Thursday nights. Two volunteers (one boy, one girl) are sent with every student who uses our service. Each pair of

volunteers has a radio which connects directly to the USC police department. After walking a patron home, our volunteers return to the Thomas Cooper Library to await their next assignment.

How do I use it? If you are studying at the Thomas Cooper Library or just stopping by, you can find the Walk Home Cocky table at the front. You just tell the coordinator your destination, sign the appropriate form, and then two volunteers will accompany you on your way to your destination!

Hello all!
Walk Home Cocky will not be running tonight.
In light of today's events, we would like to offer our volunteers who would normally be working the opportunity to have a restful and safe evening at home. Walk Home Cocky wishes all of our patrons and volunteers the same, and we will be back in Thomas Cooper Library starting on Sunday.
Thank you all. Our thoughts are with any and all those affected by the events of today.
