We are currently accepting applications to our five-year PhD program! Winning applicants will receive a five-year teaching assistantship (currently at $19,000/per academic year), including free tuition and University health care. To be considered for a fellowship, the application deadline is January 30, 2025; to be considered for a teaching assistantship the application deadline is February 10, 2025.

The department offers a supportive intellectual community, with faculty members and students who value a cooperative and constructive philosophical approach. Students are offered an opportunity to teach their own undergraduate philosophy course, typically in the third year. We also support graduate student travel for conference presentations. Since Fall 2022, students have had 60 presentations at national and international meetings, and in that same time, our students have had 16 publications in journals or books.

Further information is available at https://philosophy.missouri.edu/grad/how-apply/. For further information about the program or the application process, see our FAQ, https://philosophy.missouri.edu/grad/graduate-program-faqs.
