The Columbia College Partners in Education Committee selected eight high school juniors in mid-Missouri who were nominated by their teachers and staff for the Spring 2026 Cougar Heart of Gold Award!

These students demonstrate exceptional character, empathy, resilience and academic excellence. Honorees were presented with a Chromebook and a certificate.

The winners included Charles Robinson (Centralia), Jillian Stidham (Harrisburg), Emmanuel Ishara (Douglass), Ellie Boyer (Battle), Erica Crowe (Hallsville), Scarlet Strode (Hickman), Laron Mason (Rock Bridge) and Levi Vaughn (Sturgeon).
