Rhoyal Goes Red/Wear Red Day ❣️

February 3, 2023 is National Wear Red Day. We wear red to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease and help save lives. Why? Because losing even one woman to cardiovascular disease is too many.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. goes red for a day to raise awareness as well as honor those who have survived cardiovascular diseases or lost their fight.

As a survivor and a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. I want to thank everyone who supported this day and educated those around them ❤️

It’s officially American Heart Month ❤️ Something so near and dear to my heart for multiple reasons. As a survivor of cardiac arrest, which is classified as heart disease, I would like to share this video of my experience.

Fun fact: Sudden cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death — about 350,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur annually in the United States. By performing Hands-Only CPR to the beat of the classic disco song “Stayin’ Alive,” you can double or even triple a victim’s chance of survival.
