Summer Study Abroad Day 3 Highlight: We visited the Task Force Smith Museum in Osan, where we learned about the legacy of the Battle of Osan from Maj. Gen. (Retired) Patrick Donahoe. Next, we headed to the sprawling United States Army Garrison-Humphreys, where the Eighth Army (Official) HQ is located. The size and scope of this base left us in awe as we learned about its pivotal role in US-ROK relations. Our visit included The LTG Thomas S. Vandal Training Complex and 2d Infantry Division Museum, where we got a behind-the-scenes look at the training actions, jus for Columbus State University, and the rich history that maintains the peace on the Korean peninsula. Today was an eye-opener from museums to military bases to the deep historical and strategic ties between South Korea and the United States! None of this would be possible without the support of Hyundai Motor Group.
