Why are we all in? Hear it from the people who make Capital University what it is.

All in for Capital, our 36-hour giving challenge is back October 20-21, and it's time to rally behind the students who make Capital University so special. With a goal of 600 donors, we're counting on our alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff and friends to help us get there!

Every gift makes a difference, whether you're supporting scholarships, academic programs, athletics, student resources or one of our many campus funds. Plus, challenges and matching gifts will give your generosity even more impact!

📅 Mark your calendar: All In for Capital kicks off at noon on Tuesday, October 20, and runs through 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, October 21.

Be ready to make your gift, help us reach 600 donors and show our students we're all in for their future. www.capital.edu/dayofgiving

A delicious evening celebrating our Bexley community! 🍴💜

Thank you to the Bexley Area Chamber of Commerce for bringing Taste of Bexley to Capital University, to all the vendors who shared their amazing food and beverages, to our judges for helping make the event special (including our own President Jared R. Tice!), and to everyone who came out to enjoy the evening.

We loved welcoming the our community to campus and celebrating the incredible local businesses that make Bexley such a special place!

Dean Carmen S. Dixon is taking Capital University’s School of Education on the road, visiting teacher academies and high schools across Ohio to connect with aspiring educators.

Through hands-on activities, teacher trivia and conversations about college and careers in education, students get a firsthand look at what it means to become a teacher and prepare for the profession at Capital.

The visits also take students beyond the classroom. Dixon discusses Capital's application process, financial and academic considerations, and what future education majors can expect when they enter Capital's education program.

These photos capture Dixon’s visits to C-Tec in Newark, Port Clinton High School and Dublin High Schools Emerald Campus.

What can salamanders teach us about antibiotic resistance? 🦎🔬

This summer, Capital biology student Maddie Murphy '27 took her research into the wild, studying Central Ohio salamanders to track patterns of antibiotic resistance.

As a 2026 Summer Scholar, Maddie got hands-on experience exploring a growing public health challenge alongside faculty mentor Dr. John Mersfelder at Capital University's 74-acre Primmer Outdoor Learning Center.

Research doesn’t just happen in a lab. Sometimes, it starts in the woods.

Our Capital University Comet basketball players and President Jared R. Tice were invited to join students at Bexley City School District Cassingham Elementary School for the Team Tressel Fitness Challenge. The session was led by Ohio Lt. Governor Jim Tressel and DeVier Posey with guests from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The statewide initiative encourages students across Ohio to build healthy habits through fitness, nutrition, sleep, goal-setting and wellness with collegiate and professional athletes helping motivate them along the way. For our Comets, it was an opportunity to do what Capital does best: show up, build relationships and be part of the community we call home.

We’re proud of our student-athletes for helping young students get moving, set goals and have a little fun along the way — and grateful to our Bexley neighbors at Cassingham for having us!
