“Rupture and Repair” explores new ways of understanding the agons of 20th and 21st century Italian social and cultural history. Rupture and Repair endeavors to think about responses to them through gestures and practices, both material and immaterial, of restructuring and care, intentional redistributions of matter, energy and affect.

To wrap up the semester on a high note, the Italian Club hosted a fun game night yesterday led by PhD student Samanta Buffa!
Students learned how to play Tombola — a classic Italian game similar to bingo and a beloved holiday tradition in homes all across Italy. The goal is to match the numbers on your card with those called out… and hope luck is on your side!
Our lucky winners took home special prizes 🙂
Grazie to everyone who joined us and buone feste/ happy holidays!

STILSA Internship – Global STEM Opportunities!

Are you interested in global STEM education and hands-on learning experiences? The Students in Life Sciences Abroad (STILSA) program is looking for a motivated student intern to help create and promote international opportunities for STEM majors.

As a STILSA intern, you’ll work with Dr. P. Hamel (Molecular Genetics), Joi Brihm-Spann (ASC Career Success), and international partners to develop meaningful global experiences for students—both abroad and virtual. You’ll gain experience in program development, cross-cultural communication, and global learning.
Regular in-person and Zoom meetings will be part of the role (sometimes outside standard hours to meet international collaborators). English will be the main language used, but French skills are a plus, since several STILSA partners are in French-speaking regions.

Interested? Send a short statement of interest and your resume to: Dr. P. Hamel ([email protected]) and Joi Brihm-Spann ([email protected]).
