Capital University Music Technology https://tinyurl.com/SaM2026Workshop Technology is making the music industry more fast-paced, creative and exciting than ever. (www.recw.com)

A liberal arts campus, the Capital University Music Technology program offers a creative learning experience in music, recording, audio engineering, and sound production. It's happening in cities across the country, not just in New York and L.A. With a music technology degree from Capital, you can be a part of the scene. We have our own fully equipped recording studios on campus. Even if you don't

have live musicians in the studio, you'll never run low on cool sounds to record, thanks to our large collection of synthesizers and other electronic instruments. And if you get the urge to play rather than record, you can join Capital's high-tech MIDI Band. Capital is the only school that has an official relationship with The Recording Workshop, a highly respected school of audio and music production. People come from all over the country to study at The Recording Workshop, but Capital is the only academic institution that grants students credit for doing so.

Non-click track music is alive and well. But it has its own particular circumstances and challenges. The band was fine with things being natural, but this pause as we did overdubs was giving us a little issue. After a couple of tries, it was clear there was going to be a problem with all the guitar overdubs coming in perfectly on the one. And I knew we were gonna be doing a lot of overdubs. I figured out the mathematical time of the pause and then used subdivisions to create rhythmic intervals in terms of hours minute seconds. I copied the kick drum and pasted the kick drum at rhythmic intervals that gave accounting to the pause.
