For the second consecutive year, Capital University has seen overall enrollment growth. This fall, 2,380 students are part of the Capital community, with 873 new students joining us across undergraduate, graduate, Capital University Law School and Trinity Lutheran Seminary programs. Undergraduate enrollment has also grown for the second consecutive year, while first-year retention has climbed to 77%.

Capital welcomed 873 new students this fall, its largest incoming class since before the pandemic, continuing two straight years of enrollment growth.

25 years of Capital Pride. 💜

Last night, we celebrated 25 years of the Capital Center and marked the occasion with the official unveiling of the new Betty A. Byelene Indoor Track.

From alumni reconnecting and coming together to celebrating the next chapter of Capital University Athletics, the evening was a reminder of just how many memories have been made within these walls over the past 25 years. The newly reinstated Capital University Pep Band made its first performance, bringing even more energy to an already unforgettable night.

A special thank you to Steve Wachtman ’85, TLS ’92, a member of the Board of Trustees, and the Wachtman family for their generous support of the Pep Band; to Cheryl (Pottorf) Welsh ’73, wife of Roger Welsh, who served as Capital’s Athletic Director during the construction of the Capital Center; and to their families for joining us and helping make this milestone celebration so meaningful.

Here’s to another 25 years of Pride in the Purple.

⚾ Yesterday, Dayton-area alumni gathered for a night of baseball, connection, and Capital pride. Attendees had the opportunity to meet President Jared R. Tice and the new Dean of Capital University Law School, Dr. Marc Falkoff, while reconnecting with fellow alumni and friends.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We loved seeing so many familiar faces and celebrating the strength of our Capital community together. 💜
