Celebrating National Graduate Student Week by highlighting one of our amazing graduate students, MaryElle! 🎓✨
An Atlanta/Roswell native and Graduate Assistant with the Graduate School, MaryElle has always been passionate about giving back through organizations like Girl Scouts of the USA, National Charity League, and Strands of Elegance Cotillion.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Georgia College & State University and is currently completing her Master’s in School Counseling at Columbus State University. At CSU, MaryElle is an active member of Chi Sigma Iota, the American School Counselor Association, and the American Counseling Association.
Through her graduate program and internship, she has gained experience providing individual and group counseling, delivering classroom guidance lessons, and supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development. Her background as a Registered Behavior Technician II has also strengthened her ability to implement behavior intervention plans and collaborate with teachers and families to support students with diverse needs.
During her undergraduate studies, MaryElle was featured on the Georgia College & State University Front Page for her research publication titled “Five Psychology Students Study Impact of COVID on Georgia College Peers.” https://frontpage.gcsu.edu/node/10440
She also had the unique opportunity to model for renowned artist June Stratton for the artwork “Sol,” which was showcased at Robert Lange Studios.
After graduation, she plans to return to the Atlanta area to begin her career supporting students and schools. When she’s not studying or working, she enjoys concerts, international travel, horseback riding, spending time with friends and family, and filming makeup videos. 💄✈️🐎
