Dara Schwartz, a research administration management senior analyst in the Ohio State Department of Food Science and Technology, received the 2026 Key Values Award at last month's CFAES Awards. 🏆

Larry Phelan received the 2026 Distinguished Faculty Mentor Award at last month's CFAES Awards. 🏆

As a professor and the longest-serving member of the Department of Entomology, The Ohio State University, Larry is internationally recognized for his research in insect chemical ecology and ecological principles of agricultural sustainability. His work has fundamentally advanced our understanding of the links between soil health and crop resistance.

Larry’s legacy is defined by his commitment to faculty success. Having chaired the Entomology Promotion and Tenure Committee for 16 years, he has provided counsel and advocacy that have shaped the careers of countless colleagues across the university.
