Happy Mother Goose Day! So what does Mother Goose have to do with science or math? Take some guesses. Then go to Google & type in "What is the connection between Mother Goose & Science or Math?" & then click on "Show more." Ol' Mother Goose is pretty smart, isn't she?! (Photo from History.com)

🚨 LIGHTS OUT ACTION ALERT! 🚨
It's spring migration and tonight—April 22, 2026—we're expecting 277 million birds will be passing through overnight.
Billions of birds are currently navigating the night sky, and bright city lights can disorient them, leading to exhaustion or dangerous collisions. We need your help to give them a clear path.
🕒 The Critical Window: 11 PM – 6 AM
While turning off non-essential lights is important throughout the season, it is critical during high-traffic nights like tonight.
How you can help:
Flip the switch: Turn off all non-essential outdoor lighting.
Spread the word: Remind your neighbors that every light turned out helps save birds.

Thank you for making the skies safer for migratory birds! Learn more at www.houstonaudubon.org/lightsout
