The national Omega Tau Zeta was first established at Ohio State University on June 1, 2000. It was the first ever Asian-interest sorority founded in the state of Ohio. Omega Tau Zeta strives to make a positive difference through community service. We encourage women to become future leaders and to set high standards for themselves. Our primary focus is to promote sisterhood, eternal friendship, sc
holarship, humanitarianism, and Asian American awareness in the community. National History: Omega Tau Zeta was established at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, during the Spring quarter of the new Millennium. It is the first ever Asian-interest sorority founded in the State of Ohio. With hard work and determination, the Founding Sisters: Jenny Ho, Vanthy Pham, Shuk Lee, Suk Chan, Yun-Sheng Hsiao, Mandy Phung, Diane Ha, Judy Nguyen, Linh Ho, and Angel Hursey dedicated themselves to establishing a strong and lasting organization which would provide Asian-American women the opportunity to participate in the Greek system. Pure in heart, the women of Omega Tau Zeta envisioned a family for the Asian-American Women on the Ohio State University campus. Soon after initiating each other into sisterhood and promising eternal friendship, the founding sisters are bringing together a diverse group of women who share with them the goals of sisterhood, scholarship, and dedication to helping those in need.
