Ohio State Hospitality Management alum Frank Chen became one of the youngest general managers of a full-service Hilton property in the U.S.

Raised in a Chinese cultural tradition, Chen absorbed the principles of welcome and care through his upbringing. He views hospitality as deeply human and values-driven and appreciates Ohio State’s program for blending operational rigor with human-centered service.

“To me, this is one of the best hospitality programs in the nation,” Chen said. “It’s small enough to be personal, but big enough to have real resources.”

Chen emphasizes the support he received during his early career. He now serves on the program’s Hospitality Management Advisory Board, where he contributes his time and passion to helping students navigate early career decisions, explore unconventional paths and gain confidence.
