The Undergraduate Research Conference will be Friday, April 11th this year. Submissions will be accepted through Friday, April 4th. Students may give oral presentations, poster presentations, creative works (e.g. performance or original compositions) presentations, and research can be completed or in the proposal phase. The deadline for our Summer Scholars applicants is approaching! Summer Scholars are financially supported to embark on 5- or 10-week independent research projects. Students interested must submit a 1-page recommendation letter from a mentor and a proposal stating the project's goals by March 1st. More information is at https://www.muw.edu/our/summer/apply/

Charles received a Long Blue Line research grant to travel to NY! Congrats!!!

Junior music composition major, Charles Weathersby, was awarded first prize in the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Composition Competition for the state of Mississippi. With this win, he will go on to represent Mississippi at the Southern Regional competition.

🎉 Congrats to our amazing Speech-Language Pathology students and faculty!

🎊Join us in celebrating Alex Green, Lindsie Jo Moseley, Maclaine Griffith, Madison Reed, Kathryn Robinson, and Dr. Catherine L. Cotton for their outstanding presentation at the 2024 Mississippi Speech-Language Hearing Association’s Annual Continuing Education Conference held Sept. 18-20 in Flowood, MS!

✨ Madison Reed is a senior in Speech-Language Pathology, set to graduate in December 2024.

✨ Alex Green, Lindsie Jo Moseley, and Kathryn Robinson are first-year graduate students in the program, having earned their B.S. degrees from The W in May 2024.

✨ Maclaine Griffith also earned her B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from The W this year.

✨ Dr. Catherine L. Cotton is the Interim Department Chair and Assistant Professor in the Speech-Language Pathology Department.
