With Great sadness to Columbus Lodge #5 , and all that knew him Brother John Kent , a true corner stone of the Lodge was called home by The Grand Architect of the Universe to help build the Temple in Heaven. If a man's wealth is measured by the number of friends he has ,then Bro John Kent was a very wealthy man and a true example of what a MASON is. You will be missed Brother.

Columbus Lodge #5 200 year Anniversary was a great success. I want to give a shoutout to District 9 Masonic Event Committee for the 1st responder's fish fry over a 190 plates where served .A special thanks to the Knights of St Andrew for meet and greet, the Ladies of The Eastern Star for helping with serving and food preparation, and the great job on the lodge decorations . We were blessed for the Grand Master Randy Glover and Grand Chaplin John McCarver to take time out of their schedules to be a part of our celebration.

Columbus Lodge # 5 would like to invite everyone to its 200 Year celebration and a building dedication to pass Grand Master Kenneth E Dyer on Saturday January 8th .District 9 Event committee will also be hosting a fish fry for First Responders and Frontline workers everybody is welcome to come and enjoy some good fellowship and hopefully some good fish. Hope to see everyone there.

Congratulations to Bro John Kent for receiving his Degree for proficiency from the Grand Lodge and being named Columbus lodge Mason of the year for 2018. Way to go Brother.
