Today is International Trans Day of Visibility, a day for celebrating the lives of trans people and their accomplishments. It’s also for remembering that visibility is only the first step in the ongoing effort for just and liberated trans futures.
WGSSloves our trans students, scholars, staff, and community 🩵🩷🤍🩷🩵
Today we recognize trans, nonbinary, two-spirit individuals, people questioning their identity, and anyone on the gender spectrum, and the ongoing fight for their rights. Transgender rights are human rights!
🩵
Ways to be a better ally today and everyday:
1. Sign petitions to help support trans futures
2. Avoid harmful and stigmatizing language
3. Ask and offer pronouns when meeting new people
4. Support trans businesses and creators
5. Follow, share, center, and amplify trans voices
