Last week our chapter hosted Dr. Jennifer Shannon, owner of Lily's Pharmacy in John's Creek. Dr. Shannon found herself extremely involved in passing recent legislation, HB 233 and 323. These bills were designed to prevent PBMs from steering patients to certain pharmacies and requires greater transparency. Our members learned how we, as students and future pharmacists, can advocate for our profession and patients. Thank you Dr. Shannon for being such a role model!

This past weekend, several members from our student chapter made their way up to Asheville, NC to visit Sona Pharmacy. Our members learned so much about their clinical services, how they started their PBM, and their residency program.
