NHTI – Concord's Community College is a dynamic public institution of higher learning that provides accessible, rigorous education for students, businesses, and the community. NHTI was opened in 1965 under the name New Hampshire Technical Institute with three engineering technology programs. This name honors our past and reflects our growth to a comprehensive community college with more than 70 ac

ademic programs and full campus life. NHTI is situated in south central New Hampshire in the capital city of Concord. The campus is located on 240 acres of fields and woods with frontage on the Merrimack River. It is an easy drive to the White Mountains, New Hampshire's Lakes Region, the New England seacoast and metropolitan Boston. With a 110 full-time faculty and over 300 adjunct faculty members, our typical class size is 15 to 25 students with an average age of 25. We have approximately 4,568 day, evening and weekend credit and noncredit students attending NHTI each year. 4.84 % of our students report ethnicity other than Caucasian (including African American, Hispanic, Pacific Islander and Native American), and the general student body is made up of 45% men and 55% women.

Here's some great news to start your day! The Community College System of NH was named the best in New England and sixth best in the nation by WalletHub. 🎉

"These rankings are based on quality, outcomes, and affordability. That is what we strive to provide for New Hampshire students and to support the state’s skilled workforce and economy," said Dr. Chuck Lloyd, CCSNH chancellor-elect.

NHTI was ranked second among New Hampshire’s community colleges in the same WalletHub report. We are the only community college in the state with on-campus housing and an extensive campus, providing a complete college experience to students who are looking for an alternative to a four-year institution.
