Your yield isn’t decided at harvest. It’s decided weeks earlier.

By mid-season, the field reflects every early choice — good or bad.
The best growers don’t just react to problems… they prevent them before the season ever starts.

Early mornings. Loaded trailers. Long days ahead. đźšś

Because behind every successful season is preparation, timing, and getting the right seed where it needs to be. That’s what drives us every season at Powell Seeds.

More population doesn’t automatically mean more bushels. In some conditions, overcrowding can actually limit performance by increasing competition between plants.

"Planting the seeds of success” isn’t just a slogan to us.
It’s the mindset behind every delivery, every recommendation, and every season.
From the warehouse to the field, our goal is simple: help growers start strong and stay confident in what they’re planting.

Your soil might be holding your crop back.
Soil compaction limits root growth, reduces water infiltration, and keeps plants from accessing the nutrients they need to thrive.

The tough part? A lot of compaction issues aren’t obvious right away — but the yield loss shows up later in the season.
Managing field traffic, timing operations correctly, and paying attention to soil conditions can make a major difference.

The work behind a successful crop starts here. 🚜🌱

Before emergence.
Before the rows fill in.
Before harvest.

Strong yields are built on preparation, consistency, and putting the right seed in the right field.

If your crop struggles early... it's already behind.

That first stretch after planting sets the tone for the entire season. Stress in those early weeks = lost
potential you don't get back.
You don't win yield later - you protect it early. Reach out if something looks off in your field

It might feel warm… but your soil says otherwise.

Planting based on air temp is one of the easiest ways to set your crop back. Cold soil = slow, uneven emergence, and that’s yield you don’t get back.

Check the soil, not the forecast.
