Coastal Carolina Army ROTC Coastal Carolina University’s ROTC program is a member of the Gamecock Battalion which located in the eastern part of South Carolina.

By enrolling in the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), you set yourself apart from your peers. Army ROTC offers opportunities and challenges that allow you enhance skills necessary to succeed. You’ll develop the confidence, self-esteem, motivation and leadership needed to progress in any career path. The first two years of Army ROTC are elective courses that provides a combination of ac

ademics and important hands-on training. You will be forced to work as a team and teach younger students the same skills you have acquired over the years. Along with learning necessary skills, Army ROTC will provide you with lifelong relationships. Leadership, personal growth, responsibility, practical experience, and management training. General information

Army ROTC allows students to enhance leadership skills by placing them in mentally and physically challenging situations. This program adds an additional attribute to a standard college curriculum by forcing students to work as a team and accomplish one goal. Upon graduation, you will not only receive a diploma, but also a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserve. Basic Course Freshman Year (No Military Obligation) • Military Science Classes 101 & 102 • Physical Training three to five days a week • Leadership Lab one day per week • Cadet Private Sophomore Year (No Military Obligation) • Military Science Classes 201 & 202 • Physical Fitness three to five days a week • Leadership Lab one day per week • Cadet Private Advanced Course Junior Year (Must be Contracted) • Military Science Classes 301 & 302 • Physical Fitness three to five days a week • Leadership Lab one day a week • Field Training Exercises • Cadet NCO Senior Year (Must be Contracted) • Military Science Classes 401 & 402, 3 class hours per week • Physical Fitness four days per week • Leadership Lab one day a week • Field Training Exercises • Cadet Officer
